Messaging Standards and Integration
Messaging and integration technologies have been our bread and butter for decades. As directors and senior managers of Braid Systems Ltd in the mid-late ‘90s we were at the forefront of the STP (Straight-Through Processing) revolution in the securities industry at that time, and continued to actively participate throughout the 2000’s with the first incarnation of C24, now the sister company to Incept5.
C24 was in fact originally founded on a flawed assumption - namely that the major challenges in integration and STP had largely been solved and that the true value was further up the stack in what we now know as the BPM layer. So the reasoning went, with an abundance of high-quality data flowing effortlessly between applications and businesses, the next logical step was to measure process efficiency by comparing those data flows against the process models of which they were the manifestation. However, having seen quite clearly that integration was still a massive problem on many levels throughout just about every financial institution we knew, we re-focused our product efforts onto what became the C24 Integration Objects toolkit.
C24 IO takes a different architectural approach to integration and messaging. The antithesis of the traditional monolithic, heavyweight, and centralised broker pattern, it provides a model-driven data binding framework and combines this with implementations of all the major financial services messaging and data standards.
